Kids can get very picky and cranky about what they’re having for lunch or snack time. Sometimes they don’t want to eat any food at all. I know I go through days where Issa just doesn’t like food, and will throw anything I put on his plate onto the floor. It’s frustrating for me at times, and I feel like it’s not right to just let him go to sleep that night after only having one bite to eat all day. So I decided to change things up a bit and make him his own cracker board, using healthy homemade crackers of course. It worked! Issa loved the idea and now loves dips!
Homemade crackers are my new thing. They’re very easy to make and require very few ingredients. You can even get creative with it and try different flavours and bases. You can also play with the texture. Note: the longer they bake the harder, crunchier they get. Toddlers prefer a more chewy, soft texture, it might be tempting to keep them in there until they are all browned and crisp (which you can do for an adult batch), but for your little one it is best to take their batch out of the oven when they are just done (browned at the bottom).
Also try these Homemade Cheddar Crackers.

For a meaty option, you can add a boiled and shredded chicken breast, and some diced green onions to the yogurt dip and call it a chicken salad dip 😀
