2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
salt and pepper

CRISPY BAKED SWEET POTATO FRIES

Crispy baked sweet potato fries that are actually crispy!

Directions

Yes it is possible to bake sweet potato fries to crispy perfection! There are a few simple tricks.

1. Cornstarch, coat the potatoes with cornstarch, but not too much that they get soggy, just enough to cover each fry.

2. Olive oil. Vegetable oil tends to make them soggy. Olive oil is great, melted butter is even better! If you’re not worried about the extra calories then use melted butter, but olive oil will work fine.

3. Bake the fries as instructed below. Once they’re done leave them in the oven while the oven is turned off, and the oven door is open for 20 minutes. Don’t worry they won’t get cold, the oven will still be warm.

Serve with your favourite dips 🙂

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 400 F
Line a large or 2 baking trays with parchment paper and set aside.

Place cut sweet potatoes in a large bowl and mix in cornstarch. Using a strainer, strain any excess cornstarch and place potatoes back in the bowl.
Add olive oil and spices and toss.

Line the potatoes on the baking tray, do not overcrowd them. Bake for 10 minutes. Then flip them and bake for another 10 minutes.

Turn off the oven and leave the fries in there while the oven door is half open for 20 minutes. This will help the fries crisp up. Then serve
